Hurricane Michael did all the damage to Florida and the Southeast that it could, and then went back out to sea again. Now, all that has to be done is to clean up the mess and rebuild the towns, homes, businesses and lives that were destroyed in just a few hours.

Some of the TV news stations are keeping the public who still have homes and power informed about the progress of the clean-up efforts, so I won’t go into it here. I do want to commend the many volunteers and various utility companies that have so graciously pitched in to give support wherever needed. They come from all over the United States without thinking about which party anyone belongs to. Doesn’t that prove that this is a great nation?

I believe it was about this time last year that the Gulf Coast was also hit by a hurricane and the damage was tremendous. It seems that this problem is an annual habit we can’t do anything about. The HVAC Insider hopes that you came through Michael safely and if you did have any losses that they were minor.

I will cut this short this month, as I had a fall recently and suffered some rib damage which is quite uncomfortable. It is keeping me from doing too much activity without hurting. Hopefully, I will be back in good shape next month and can do better. We’ll talk again next month.
