Butcher Distributors announced that Dan Schlund has been selected as their new Vice President. Dan will be coming from Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US, where he was the Residential Sales Manager. He will assume the new role on March 19, 2018. His first order of business will be to assist in hosting Butcher’s Trane Dealer Incentive Trip to Sandals All-Inclusive Jamaica South Coast Resort.

Butcher’s President, John Butcher, stated, “In filling this role, my goal was to find a candidate with the right balance of skills, experience, and personality to get the best fit possible for our company. I think we have that in Dan, and I think you will enjoy working with him. He is an intelligent, hard-working, personable guy who will build strong relationships.”

Dan Schlund has an extensive operational and sales background. After four years in the U.S. Marine Corp, Dan entered the HVAC industry and has been there for sixteen years. In those sixteen years, he spent eleven years in wholesale distribution and most recently, five years with Mitsubishi. Dan had a multitude of roles in that time: warehousing, counter sales, territory manager, branch manager, and sales management roles on multiple levels. In addition, while working full time, Dan received his Bachelor of Science degree in business psychology and a Master of Business Administration.

Dan succeeds Tom Roland, who had been very fortunate to have had a healthy, prosperous 32 year career with both The Trane Company and Butcher Distributors. Tom received much satisfaction in seeing Butcher’s customers improve their businesses and having that translate to their employees as well as the personal relationships and wonderful experiences he’s had with these dealers.
