Charles Herring, General Manager of Wittichen Supply Company announced that effective March 1, 2021 Matt Helms was named to the newly created position of Branch Operations Manager.

In this position, Matt will lead all functions of branch operations and work directly with the branch managers on Eclipse training for all reports at the branch level. He has been assigned many other duties to improve the efficiency of the entire organization. Matt will report directly to Charles and all the branch managers will report to Matt. Charles Herring and Matt will work together on branch personnel decisions.

Matt has been married to Casey for almost 16 years. They have 3 children ages 11, 9 and 8. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and running. He is a big fan of Alabama and New Orleans Saints football. Matt had this to say about his new position: “I am extremely excited and honored to be moving into this new role with the company. Matt joined Wittichen Supply Company in 2000 as a warehouse/delivery employee and since that time served in ever increasing roles within the company. His last position prior to this role was serving as Tuscaloosa branch manager. Ron Curren has been promoted to Tuscaloosa Branch Manger to replace Matt Helms. He has been working as the Birmingham assistant branch manager in his most recent role. Ron has been married to Barbara for 17 years. He has 3 sons, a daughter, a granddaughter and a second grandchild due later this year. In his free time, he likes to spend time with his family, watch college football and ride dirt bikes. Ron said that he looks forward to serving our customers in and around the Tuscaloosa area. Ron has been employed by Wittichen Supply Company for over 5 years, joining the company in January of 2016 and has over 30 years of industry experience in HVAC/R distribution.
