A 20-story building with 330,000 Square feet of space recently got an HVAC upgrade. The owners of this tower at 1750 Elm Street in Manchester New Hampshire recognized the need for increased efficiency.

The six 1,400 MBH cast-iron oil-fired boilers needed to be replaced. With 36” doorways for access, the Laars boilers were a good fit. The 3,000 MBH gas fired boilers heat the entire building utilizing perimeter and fan coil units. There are also package units in the building that are fed with steam bringing in 100% outside air. The Laars MagnaTherm 3,000,000 Btu boilers run on their own reset curves and are supplied an on/off signal from the BMS system.
