New Tarecpir platform combines U.S.-manufactured PIR with system and specification support for low-temperature piping applications.

Kingspan Insulation North America, a leader in high-performance insulation and building envelope solutions, has announced the rebranding of its ISO-C1® polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation as Tarec®pir, along with the introduction of Tarec®pir 360, a piping-focused platform providing technical and specification guidance for complete low-temperature pipe insulation systems.

Effective October 2026, the ISO-C1 brand will transition to Tarecpir. While the name and visual identity are changing, the underlying PIR insulation technology and performance remain unchanged.

“Tarecpir represents more than a new brand name; it establishes the platform for the next generation of Kingspan’s high-value technical insulation offering in North America. Building on our U.S. manufacturing capabilities and technical expertise, we are developing solutions to address the evolving insulation requirements of critical infrastructure and industrial markets,” said Jeremy Grunewald, senior director of product and marketing at Kingspan Insulation North America.

Tarecpir is a rigid, closed-cell PIR insulation family available in five density grades ranging from 2.0 to 6.0 pcf, meeting applicable ASTM C591 requirements.  Across the product family, service temperatures extend from −328°F to +350°F, depending on product grade.  The portfolio supports applications including data center chilled-water systems, industrial refrigeration, and LNG, along with other cryogenic and low-temperature industrial process applications.

Supplied by Kingspan as bunstock and boards, Tarecpir provides fabricators with the flexibility to create application-specific insulation components for a range of thermal and mechanical requirements.

Tarecpir 360 builds on Kingspan’s established network of fabrication and distribution customers to support complete PIR pipe insulation systems for low-temperature applications. Combining Kingspan technical resources and specification guidance with access to fabricated PIR and compatible system components through its customer network, Tarecpir 360 helps engineers and design professionals evaluate and specify complete pipe insulation systems.
