“An optimist stays up until midnight to see the New Year in. A pessimist stays up to make sure the old year leaves.” ~Bill Vaughan

Successful people are optimists. I know this because they don’t have time to complain.

In order to create success, you must keep moving and trying regardless of any obstacles. And there are obstacles. It doesn’t matter what shape the economy is in. When you want more, things get in the way. Like driving behind mini vans on the highway. You must get around them to move on. There should be no time for negative thoughts. Change negatives into positives and keep working.

“Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.” ~Helen Keller

If you are a pessimist, find someone who isn’t and get them to talk you down. Life’s challenges require that you take the necessary steps to solve problems and grab that optimistic outlook.

Putting on your best face in business requires that you at least act like an optimist. I don’t know anyone who wants to do business with a whiner. If you agree with this you know that being a pessimist will get you nowhere.

“There are worst things than death. If you’ve ever spent an evening with an insurance salesman, you know exactly what I mean.” ~Woody Allen

It is almost time to ring in a new year. Let’s get regular doses of optimism and make 2019 the best year ever.
