Casteel Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, and Electrical Acquired by AccuTemp
Casteel Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, and Electrical (“Casteel”), a subsidiary of Horizon Group Holdings (“Horizon”), and a leading home services company serving the Atlanta metropolitan area, announced today that it has acquired AccuTemp Heating-Cooling Inc. (“AccuTemp”). The acquisition marks the second for Casteel, which acquired Knight Heating and Air Conditioning in 2018, and reinforces Horizon’s strategy of building market-leading home services businesses in its core markets.
Founded in 1989 by Jerry McAnally, AccuTemp is a leading residential HVAC contractor servicing North Atlanta. “We are delighted to partner with AccuTemp and to have so many talented technicians join our team. Jerry has built an exceptional company with a best-in-class brand and culture,” said Gary Obert, Vice President of Horizon’s Southeast Region. “Partnering with AccuTemp supports our goal of providing the best HVAC, plumbing, and electrical customer service in Atlanta.”
“I have spent my entire career building AccuTemp and I am thrilled that AccuTemp will be joining forces with Casteel,” said Jerry McAnally. “Casteel’s core value of ‘Always Do the Right Thing’ aligns perfectly with AccuTemp’s culture.”
Gary Obert further commented, “Horizon strives to be an acquirer of choice, especially in our core markets along the East Coast. We seek to partner with best-in-class companies by being flexible in our acquisition approach and by bringing significant investment to our partner brands post-closing.”
HVAC business broker Patrick Lange with Business Modification Group represented the seller in the transaction. He adds, “This is a great example of two companies coming together for the benefit of the customer. I’m thrilled to have contributed to this win-win relationship.”
