Emerson, a global leader in fluid control and pneumatic technology, highlighted its ASCO™ lead-free solenoid valves at the recent AHR Expo in Atlanta, GA. These valves feature stainless steel, lead-free brass or composite constructions— meeting U.S. Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) and NSF International requirements for potable water devices in commercial and industrial applications.

Featured products included the ASCO™ Series 212 Composite Valve, as well as the 8210 and 8262 General Service Solenoid Valves—all of which offer a range of pressure and temperature ratings, pipe sizes and flow coefficients.

Series 212 Composite Valve

In addition to meeting SDWA standards, the pilot-operated Series 212 Composite Valve is independently certified by NSF International—extending its use to water purification, conditioning and distribution applications with reverse osmosis systems. Certifications include:

• NSF 372: Lead Content
• NSF 169: Special Purpose Food Equipment and Devices
• NSF 61-G: Drinking Water System Components—Health Effects
• NSF 42: Drinking Water Treatment Units—Aesthetic Effects

The Series 212 comes equipped with the FasN™ connection system, enabling OEMs to use NPT thread, turn-and-lock or solvent bond fittings to seamlessly connect to a variety of piping systems.

Series 8210 and 8262

Available in lead-free brass or stainless steel, ASCO™ 8210 and 8262 General Service Solenoid Valves eliminate the need to perform complex calculations of wetted surface area lead content according to SDWA specifications—facilitating equipment design and compliance for OEMs and simplifying field installations. Both series feature high pressure ratings and are suitable for a range of industrial applications, including food processing machinery, water systems, pumps, compressors and more. Standard constructions hold UL and CSA approvals.
