Inside Notes: The Downfall of Democracy?

February 22, 2019

By Curtis Parrott

It’s an enigma to me that people don’t understand that socialism is a disease and never has worked for any society throughout history. Ruled by fear, it can only cause pain for the common people who are just trying to make it through the day. Why would you want to do something that you know is going to hurt you and fail. You would think that our so-called leaders spiraling downward in this direction would understand this, and would have some common sense not to do so. I would say that to some in government, we are looked at as nothing more than sheep led to the slaughter. It’s like they’re telling us to “shut up and do as you are told, we know what’s best for you.”

It doesn’t mater if it’s a monarchy, republic, democracy, dictatorship, totalitarian or a theocracy government system, it can all be abused from greed and power.

We are seeing the corruption and downfall of our democracy now heading toward socialism. This all ends in violence, just turn television on you can watch it daily. Anarchy vs. Totalitarian, is this the new left-right scale for the country. They can all be parasites to the world. There has to be a middle ground. And history shows us again and again, if you push this too far to one side or the other, then revolution is the outcome. The door swings both ways, sometimes it’s a peaceful revolution and sometimes it’s a violent revolution, as history has repeatedly showed us.

A democracy is ruled by the people. The executive, the judicial and the congressional aspects of a republic. When that ceases to exist and sides can’t come to an understanding, history tells us what is going to happen next. At some point in time your forced to choose sides, it’s in our nature of survival. Of course it never ends well, for anyone.

“Better not to give into it. It takes ten times as long to put yourself back together as it does to fall apart.”

Keep the faith!
