Operation, maintenance and repair of air conditioning and heating systems, fire prevention equipment including fire and house pumps, standpipes, sprinkler systems, knowledge of Class E fire alarm system, control panel and portable fire extinguishers, compressor banks and cooling tower operations; must have knowledge of water treatment procedures for all closed loop and house water systems, plumbing experience repairing flushometers, toilets, faucets, and unclogging drains. Individual must be certified as an Operating Engineer possessing both a RSOE Q-01 FDNY COF and Universal EPA Certifications; have a standpipe, sprinkler COF; other FDNY certificates a plus, including an FLSD F-89 COF and; must have at least 3-5 years’ experience in HVAC plant operations, Building Management Systems and experience with minor plumbing; must be able to work flexible hours and various shifts including overnights; experience with using a Windows PC, tablet or mobile device, and outlook email.
