Area Service Manager

As an Individual Contributor, responsible for providing technical support and training in alignment with Mitsubishi Electric Cooling & Heating objectives. This includes providing customers with information on the proper application, installation, operation, service procedures and handling special warranty situations for the M & P and City Multi product lines distributed by Mitsubishi Electric. Work with direction from the Business Unit Technical Services Manager. Support development of Business Unit Area Service Advisors as needed. Analyze and report the frequency and types of service and product related issues. Schedules and presents technical training programs & solve issues with HVAC equipment. Solve common to complicated technical problems associated with HVAC equipment. 3 to 5 years’ experience in servicing HVAC products. Knowledge of commercial systems controls. Must be able to travel up to 50%. Can live in MN, OH, IN, WV, KY, MI, IL, WI, IA, NE, ND/SD.

Area Sales Manager – Residential

As an Individual Contributor, responsible for developing and increasing M&P sales through the Distribution Channels including contractor sales. Works with distributor staff, manufacturer representatives, and contractors on business development and sales activities or projects. Participate in local professional groups, industry associations and functions. Attend and participate in trade shows. Develop relationships with utility companies and builders. Give presentations and training at sales and product meetings. Monitor and report inventory levels at distributors. Actively participate in Distributor Sales planning. Develop residential market within territory. Develop Distributor sales personnel to be proficient in selling/offering Mitsubishi products to residential contractors. Administer sales and other promotional programs. Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. Minimum 2 – 5 years sales experience in HVAC & calling on the residential and mechanical contractors.

Responsible for developing relationship with the architectural, engineering and design build community to educate about Mitsubishi products, their applications, increase the number of specifications, and subsequent sales. Work with commercial distributor partners in education and application of Mitsubishi commercial products in the assigned territory. Call on local architects, engineers, and design-build professionals to educate them on Mitsubishi Variable Refrigerant Flow systems, other Mitsubishi products and their applications. Develop relationships with local engineers, architects, and contractors. Participate in local professional networking groups, industry associations, and functions. Attend and participate in industry trade shows. Develop relationship with utility companies and builders. Prepare and deliver educational presentations. Assist with design and application of Mitsubishi products. Degree in engineering required. 2+ yrs experience in HVAC sales & calling on engineers.

HVAC Installer

The job will include new home complete HVAC installations as well as retrofit installs, running and connecting ductwork in attics and under houses, cutting sheet metal with no hooks and to proper length, installing flue pipes, running gas and drain lines etc. Must have knowledge of the field with a willingness to learn. Provide expert level service and customer support during field visits.

Make product recommendations to head of sales for new and existing products.

Inside Sales Representative

Identifies customers’ product needs and coordinates execution of orders.

Setup and maintain customer files.

Counter Sales Representative

Position Summary: The counter sales specialist fulfills customer HVAC/R product needs by providing HVAC/R information, technical support, and special ordering for customers while maintaining a team working environment and store profitability. In this role, the employee stays apprised of all Johnstone sales and promotional programs with the goal to increase and strengthen the Company’s partnership with its clients, increase sales and profitability.

Essential Job Functions:
Determines customer replacement HVAC parts, according to the inspection or verbal/description of the old part, and customer requirements.
Provides customer product and service needs by performing tasks such as finding products using computer, catalog, telephone or other reference sources.
Recommends and orders products for customers. Recommends and orders products not listed in the Johnstone catalog. Recognizes products most commonly purchased by customers; resolves commonly-encountered technical problems
