Wesgarde Highlights the Trumeter APM Temperature Meter

April 17, 2026

Easy-to-read, thermocouple-ready panel meter for precise industrial and HVAC temperature control

Wesgarde, a national leader in the distribution of electromechanical and electronic power components, is proud to highlight the Trumeter APM Temperature Meter, a thermocouple-ready panel meter engineered for precise measurement, intuitive visualization, and flexible control in demanding industrial and HVAC applications. Featuring an easy-to-read, large multi-format display and a versatile input design, the APM Temperature Meter extends the APM platform into a wide range of temperature-critical and HVAC control processes.

Designed for use with thermocouples, the APM Temperature Meter supports types B, E, J, K, N, R, S, and T and uses Trumeter’s input signal optimization and user-configurable linearization, up to 20 points in a non-linear conversion table, to provide accurate measurement, display, and control across complex temperature profiles common in HVAC, process, and industrial systems. A programmable scale and custom annunciators allow users to present critical parameters exactly as needed, while 0.5 °C accuracy after 30 minutes and 0.2 °C accuracy after 40 minutes support tight process control in air handling units, chillers, boilers, and other HVAC equipment.

The large, multi-format display incorporates a 40-segment curved bar graph, a full 4-digit readout with 12 mm digit height, and a separate starburst display area for annunciators, custom messages, and alarm information. Dynamic backlight color, red, green, or white, with user-selectable brightness and intensity delivers clear visual status indication, and a warning flash feature helps draw immediate attention to alarm conditions. A wide horizontal and vertical viewing angle and large display format ensure readability from multiple positions within mechanical rooms, control panels, and HVAC plant areas.

The APM Temperature Meter includes two independent alarm setpoints and two independent outputs, digital and 4–20 mA analog retransmission, enabling it to control other systems in the process or interface directly with PLCs and higher-level control systems commonly used in building automation and HVAC control architectures. With a maximum output voltage of 34 V and maximum current of 500 mA, the meter is designed to function as an active control element rather than a passive indicator, supporting functions such as fan control, valve actuation, and temperature safety limits.

Configuration is streamlined through a front-mounted USB port and the free, easy-to-use APM Configurator software; users simply plug into a PC, with no drivers required, to program display range (minimum and maximum values), custom annunciators, backlight color and intensity, alarm setpoints, and outputs. User-configurable linearization and a programmable scale allow application-specific ranges and non-linear sensor behavior to be accurately represented on the display, whether monitoring supply and return air temperatures, coil temperatures, or process zones within an HVAC system.

The Trumeter APM Temperature Meter delivers a powerful combination of clear visualization, precise temperature measurement, and built-in control capabilities, making it an ideal choice for temperature-critical industrial and HVAC applications. As a trusted distributor specializing in power and control solutions for demanding environments and high-power loads, Wesgarde is your source for the APM Temperature Meter, helping ensure you have the right temperature monitoring technology for your HVAC and industrial application.
