Winsupply N Richmond Opens in Growing Market
The Winsupply Family of Companies has welcomed its latest addition of a new Local Company with the opening of Winsupply N Richmond.
Led by Local Company President Matt Jones, he and his staff have over 100 years of expertise and experience in HVAC sales. Winsupply N Richmond serves the residential and commercial HVAC industry. Jones officially opened his doors for business on June 15, 2025.
Jones, 32, spent nearly 15 years at a large HVAC distribution corporation. After a year at a smaller distributor, Jones said he knew he possessed the wherewithal to build his own operation. That’s when he learned about the unique Winsupply business model, which provides financial assistance and business support to entrepreneurs.
“I started by building a business plan to start our own company, then stumbled upon the Winsupply model,” Jones said. “It’s just great. You build your own path, and there is no ceiling. I plan to drive this business as large as I can.”

Winsupply N Richmond has four full-time employees and one part-time employee. Jones plans to add a fifth full-time role very soon.
“This company has over 100 years in HVAC sales and distribution, which is quite impressive these days,” Jones said.
Jones has future plans to add a showroom and additional office space to the 25,000-square-foot warehouse.
Winsupply N Richmond rents its warehouse space from an existing Winsupply Local Company, Winsupply of Richmond, which primarily serves the plumbing industry. The companies are located at 2101 Staples Mill Road in Richmond, Virginia.
The new Local Company fits into Winsupply Inc.’s growth strategy in the Virginia area, said Rob McCullough, Area Leader for Winsupply Inc.
“Richmond is a growing city, and while we had a team within the Winsupply of Richmond (formerly Noland), this new company exclusively concentrates on HVAC,” McCullough said. “It is a win-win for both companies. One can focus on plumbing and the other on HVAC.”
About two hours away in Virginia Beach, Virginia, another Winsupply Local Company—Winsupply Virginia Beach VA—was opened earlier this spring by Local Company President Christian McGinty. It serves HVAC customers.
“Now with the new Virginia Beach and Richmond entities, we are looking for entrepreneurs to go north into the Washington, D.C., metro market with HVAC-minded companies,” McCullough said. “My goal is to find capable, hardworking entrepreneurs to establish at least four new Local Companies in this area, and we could include two plumbing companies as well.”
Winsupply during calendar year 2025 (FY2026) has the goal to open 20 new Local Companies across its U.S. footprint. Winsupply Local Companies are expected to achieve nearly $8.3 billion in annual sales for 2025.
