Delgado HVAC Program Sweeps Spring Graduation Ceremony
Professor Kenneth Ripberger proudly announced that at the Delgado spring graduation 13 of the 16 male graduates listed in the college-wide release for 2-year technical degrees were from the HVAC program. Mr. Ripberger is the Department Chair HVAC at Delgado Community College and is an ESCO Certified Master HVAC Educator. The graduation was held at the UNO arena on May 21st, 2019.
Professor Ripberger had this to say, “Today’s HVAC graduate group of thirteen is the largest group we have ever had graduate. The eleven of these fine gentlemen who came “to walk the stage” is the largest number we have had actually attend the graduation ceremony. I can tell you it was a very humbling experience for me. I am so proud of these men. The HVAC program requires 1,080 contact hours of training to earn one of these degrees. With an average of twenty-five students entering the program each semester we have about a fifty percent graduation rate. That’s very high by any standards.”
