East Coast Metal Distributors recently opened its long-awaited Hub Center in an extensive facility in Forest Park, Georgia. The Hub was created to improve our customer service ability.

The operation was headed up by Field Operations Manager, Jim Cashion. Jim and Forest Park Branch Manager, David Leavell, got everything off the ground and going with the project. In October 2020, Ken Graybill from East Coast Metal was brought in and took over managing the operation of the hub.

“Our Hub will supply the equipment and supplies needs for the eight metro Atlanta regional branches. Each of our branches will be receiving several shipments each week,” said Ken Graybill.

Ken went on to say, “Cyril Northcote Parkinson said that ‘work expands itself to time available.’ Our Hub Center affords each of our branch associates more ‘time available’ to ensure our clients’ needs are met instead of unloading trucks. After all that’s what it’s all about – the customers.”

The staff at the new Hub take great pride in ensuring the products get to the branches quickly. The trucks are rolling in daily and they are moving the product to where it needs to be. East Coast Metal is extremely excited about this new venture and is looking forward to helping their customers and their branches grow.
