Emerson (NYSE: EMR) today announced the redesign of its Copeland online product information (OPI) tool. This new version maintains the capabilities of the old site but provides users with a refreshed web experience. As part of the strategy to create a more seamless experience across Emerson tools and resources, the Copeland Mobile app, which provides on-the-go access to the OPI database for Copeland product specifications, also has a new user interface (UI) featuring enhanced functionality and navigation.

Emerson’s primary objective of the enhancements to both tools was to provide a much-improved user experience.

With the OPI tool, users can search for products including compressors and condensing units, cross-reference them with other original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and competitor products, search for replacement Copeland brand products and much more.

“Along with product search and cross-reference capabilities, our revamped Copeland online product information tool still offers valuable features like publications and bulletins, software downloads, links and resources,” said Ken Monnier, chief technology officer for Emerson. “Users also have the ability to access the Knowledge Center, a resource for technical HVACR questions and answers, and to use our custom-built HVACR calculators to help analyze system operating performance and system efficiency.”

The Copeland Mobile app allows users to quickly access 30 years of product information and resources at their fingertips and can be used on any device, anywhere. Simply scan the barcode on any compressor to pull up its specifications or engineering manual to quickly troubleshoot and diagnose. The app can be used to check the availability of local product replacements from a Copeland authorized wholesaler location, as well as locate a Copeland technical specialist. It can also be used to conduct a live chat session with a representative and track open projects with jobsite commissioning. With the latest redesign, it provides easier navigation for a better user experience.
