New, Feature-rich TempMaster® 25-50 Ton Rooftop Units Deliver Greater Productivity

December 12, 2018

The TempMaster® brand of Johnson Controls has launched a series of new rooftop units that deliver improved performance and design flexibility to reduce operational costs. The OmniPremier™ 25-50 ton commercial rooftop units offer superior standard efficiency levels and already meet stringent Department of Energy (DOE) 2023 energy efficiency requirements. Additional options are available for each tonnage to meet the Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE) 2019 highest tier ratings.

“Our engineers achieved exceptional energy efficiencies with OmniPremier,” said Rick Schnarr, vice president of sales, Commercial and Applied Ducted Systems, Johnson Controls. “This future-forward technology allows the platform to deliver up to 50 percent higher-than-required results depending on the local code. This translates into a significant cost-savings over the lifetime of the rooftop unit without sacrificing design capabilities or performance.”

The Smart Equipment-enabled units help expedite start-up and commissioning with start-up wizards and an array of user-adaptable parameters. The control system offers complete control across all available rooftop units and integrates with other control systems and interfaces such as Verasys®.

OmniPremier rooftop units streamline the design process with integrated system selection tools, easily accessible building information modeling (BIM) files, improved submittals and simplified specification. Additional flexibility is provided on high-performance base models through the most complete range of factory options, including various airflow path configurations, indoor environmental quality options and modulating options for improved comfort.

Other features include:

  • Navigator® product service app enabling on-demand access to unit-specific details, technical literature and a direct connection to technical support via a unique QR code on each rooftop unit (available spring 2019)
  • Optional Mobile Access Portal (MAP) provides remote monitoring capability for fewer trips to the job site or rooftop to diagnose issues
  • Design, engineering and assembly in the state-of-the-art Johnson Controls Rooftop Center for Excellence in Norman, Oklahoma

“The TempMaster OmniPremier rooftop units offer revolutionary design features with a variety of factory installed options for seamless building integration and optimization,” said Matthew Shaub, vice president of strategy, Commercial and Applied Ducted Systems, Johnson Controls. “The platform was truly engineered to meet building demands both during and after construction.”

OmniPremier rooftop units will be supported with industry-leading lead-times and, coming soon, even faster rapid-ship availability. They are backed by industry-leading warranties: standard 1-year parts warranty and either a 6-month or 1-year promotional labor warranty, which is standard for authorized contractors.
