The Bard Manufacturing Company introduced its MEGATEC ™ Wall-Mount Air Conditioner recently, a multi-stage, high-capacity sensible cooling SPVU (single package vertical unit) system with exceptional efficiency for industrial-grade cooling.

The launch positions Bard to address the needs of high heat-load facilities operating in high durability industrial settings. The AHRI-certified MEGA-TEC meets these challenges while also satisfying the current Department of Energy minimum efficiency mandate of 10EER, in addition to state and national codes. The new units are also IECC2015 compliant; MEGA-TEC’s Copeland Scroll compressors can step down to less than 35% of the unit’s maximum capacity.

As an added efficiency opportunity, the MEGA-TEC’s optional economizer can provide “free cooling” by using outdoor air to cool an area within a facility when outdoor conditions are favorable. MEGA-TEC also incorporates patent-pending Balanced Climate™ from Bard technology, enabling control of both temperature and humidity. And, leveraging Bard’s exclusive programming for PLC (Programmable Logic Control) technology maximizes control for customers who can manage up to fourteen units remotely with a single controller.

Units are available first quarter 2019 through Bard distribution partners.
