For half a century, the CHC Companies have been providing the Upper Cumberland and Middle Tennessee with award-winning mechanical contracting and HVAC services. The company has grown from three trucks and less than $100,000 in sales to a multimillion-dollar company and one of the most respected HVAC contractors in the industry.

And it all started in 1969, when Cantrell Brown opened American Heating & Cooling in Cookeville, Tennessee. A few years later, three Nashville investors purchased American Heating & Cooling, struggling for the first few years and experiencing a series of management failures, that was until a young sales representative named Garry Floeter was given the opportunity to see what he could do with the company. Due to the prior management failures, Floeter recognized the need to demonstrate a largescale change and renamed the company Cookeville Heating & Cooling. Eventually, Floeter purchased the company outright, and has served as president from the beginning of his tenure.

Today, CHC offers an extensive line of mechanical and plumbing services for new constructions, additions, renovations and retrofits.
