Pamlico Air, a manufacturer of high-quality air filters, air filtration products and equipment founded 2019, has opened a manufacturing plant in Wilson, NC. Pamlico Air’s leadership team of Founder and CEO Travis Stephenson, President Charlie Kwiatkowski, COO of the High Purity Division Shawn Windley and Director of Sales Melissa Davidson have over a century of industry-related experience between them.

The Wilson facility, the first to open, is joined by plants in Wichita Falls, TX and Lake Wales, FL as part of their strategic manufacturing expansion in the country. The team is led by Plant Manager and Corporate Vice President of Operations Ron Abel and Manager of Human Resources Leslie Hoggard.

Ron has served the air filtration industry for more than 25 years including roles as plant manager and operations manager. Prior to his career in manufacturing management, Ron served in the military for 11 years and completed courses in leadership, management, and safety in manufacturing. Ron’s favorite part of aiding in Pamlico Air’s start-up is seeing an idea develop into a growing and prosperous company. The unlimited potential drives Ron and motivates him to research and study how operations can improve and thrive as well.

“The Wilson team has been through some exciting ‘firsts’ since we started production,” Ron stated. “We have doubled the amount of manufacturing equipment, greatly increasing our capacity to handle more orders. The plant has been brought up to Pamlico’s nationwide standards of efficiency, safety, cleanliness and organization, providing a safe and welcoming work environment for our employees.”

Leslie discussed Pamlico’s relationship with the community and the people living there, stating “Wilson has been a great place to start our ‘flagship’ operations and manufacturing facility. Wilson and the surrounding communities have a wealth of support for business growth and opportunity. The workforce is eager to start something new with a company that can provide them a stable work environment with good benefits and opportunities for advancement. Many applicants are experienced in manufacturing and production environments. Even if applicants do not have that experience, they are enthusiastic and we are willing to train for entry level positions that lead to growth and we hope these turn into lifetime careers with Pamlico Air.”

All products are sold exclusively by their network of experienced HVAC Manufacturer’s Sales Representatives and Distributors.
