Remell ‘Bud’ Pichon, branch manager of Solar Supply in Slidell, carries a variety of SUPCO products at his store. Bud explained, “Supco manufactures hard start kits, capacitors, motor brackets, relays, surge protectors and a whole lot more. Our customers like Supco because they make a very reliable product. Most people do not realize that Supco has been around for at least 75 years. They started off manufacturing appliance parts and as the HVACR business began to grow they became more involved in making parts for air conditioners and heaters. Within the last ten years, I have noticed they have expanded their product offering by acquiring Cam-Stat, CTC just to name a couple of their new product lines. John Patorno has been working at the Slidell store since March of this year. John is new to the distribution side of the business but is no stranger to the HVACR industry having worked for a contractor as a helper installing duct, as well as helping in servicing and installing units. John has the position of counter sales, warehouse, and truck driver. He is from Slidell and brings a cheerful, positive and friendly attitude to work with him that the customers seem to love.
