Chad Wetzel joined CE Florida in 2019 as Vice President of Sales, bringing with him over twenty-five years of experience in all levels of distribution. Prior to entering distribution, Chad served in the United States Marine Corp and as a Police Officer in Central Pennsylvania where he implemented the first Drug Abuse Resistance Education program into several local elementary schools.

Chad started his distribution career in ground level sales, also known as cold calling, in Central Pennsylvania in 1997. He was quickly promoted to inside sales and inside sales management prior to moving into outside sales. In early 2000, He relocated from PA to South Florida to run his first distribution branch and continued to develop as a leader, picking up P&L responsibility for larger and multiple branches.

“Over time I grew into District and Regional roles in the Low Voltage Electrical, Solar and IP Security Distribution businesses,” Chad stated. “Prior to joining CE, I spent 12 years with WESCO, a leading provider of business-to-business distribution, logistics services and supply chain solutions, in various leadership roles.”

Chad was named CE Florida Region President in June of 2020, tasked with overseeing all aspects of operations in the state except for the panhandle. He believes in strong, autonomous leadership for each business unit focusing on contributing to overall region goals, providing a positive environment for CE employees and using technology and experience to help each of CE’s dealers grow their business.

“As a distribution company, we need to partner with our customers and bring value to their business,” Chad said. “I am striving for us to become the best logistics solution for our dealers, to ensure we have their products available when they need them and be able to deliver them where they need them on time. Internally, I’m focused on the organization to ensure we recruit and retain the right talent and become more employee friendly to promote and retain that talent. I am a strong proponent of creating a positive environment for our employees so that positive attitude is transparent in their efforts to provide first in class service to our customers.”
