Butcher Distributors Dealers Learn How to Plan for a Profitable 2019

There is nothing more frustrating than to work hard and feel like you have nothing to show for it at the end of the week, month, or year. That is why Butcher Distributors hosted Grandy & Associates’ Planning for Profit Workshop for their Trane dealers on January 23 & 24. Planning for Profit is a 2-day workshop that specializes in helping HVAC companies increase profitability. Some of the curriculum highlights include labor pricing, cash flow budgets, maintenance agreements and collections, and tax tips.

Day 2 of the workshop was an instructor lead, in-depth walk through of industry acclaimed software that gave Butcher’s Trane dealers the opportunity to evaluate important aspects of their business such as which of their departments are profitable and which are not, what hourly rates must be charged to cover breakeven cost and generate a reasonable profit, the knowledge to create a month-by-month, department-by-department cash flow budget to project possible cash flow problems, and more. Dealers walked away with an individualized road map of how to increase profit in 2019.

This is the second year Butcher Distributors has hosted the planning for profit workshop for its dealers. Dealers that took the class at the beginning of 2018 saw tremendous growth in profit. Butcher works hard to help its Trane dealer base grow businesses for long-term stability and profitability; the planning for profit class is an integral part of this mission.
