Butcher Distributors participated in the St. Jude “Give Thanks” Walk on Saturday, September 22, 2018 in Lafayette to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. These walks occurred in over 65 cities nationwide, all on the same day, with the purpose of coming together to help St. Jude change the way the world understands, treats, and defeats childhood cancer. Butcher Distributors held multiple fundraising events/raffles in the months leading up to the walk and donated over $4,000 to the cause. The event raised $64,764 total for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Trane was a Silver sponsor ($25,000) at the national level for the walks and had over 10 teams participating. In addition to the Walk sponsorship, Trane is a national sponsor of the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway. Through this partnership, Trane will donate heating and cooling products for 30+ custom-built homes that will be given away throughout the year through local raffle drawings. Butcher’s Trane Comfort Specialist Dealers installed this equipment in St. Jude Homes in Biloxi, Jackson, New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, and Lafayette and will do so again in 2019.
