Havtech Becomes Primary Mid-Atlantic Distributor of Eaton HVAC Drives to Help Customers Reach New Levels of Energy Efficiency
Power management company Eaton announced today that it has reached an agreement with Havtech to provide local sales support for Eaton’s variable frequency drives (VFDs) designed for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) applications. Havtech is one of the Mid-Atlantic’s largest commercial HVAC equipment providers. The collaboration will enable both Eaton and Havtech to better support its customers’ energy efficiency requirements through Eaton’s industry-leading VFD solutions.
“With a reputation as one of the most innovative HVAC equipment and building automation system providers serving both the commercial and industrial markets, Havtech is a natural fit for us,” said Rob Fenton, Division Sales Manager at Eaton. “This partnership will provide the local technical support and inventory that our customers demand, ensuring that they are able to complete their projects on time.”
“Our equipment, aftermarket and wholesale divisions are excited to partner with such a long-standing industry leader in the VFD market,” said Joe Roetering, president at Havtech. “Through a similar commitment to improving building comfort, efficiency and reduced cost of ownership for our customers, we believe Eaton complements the other equipment innovators and leaders we represent.”
Eaton offers several series of VFDs for HVAC applications, including the within the PowerXL line called the PowerXL DH1 HVAC drives. This series is specifically designed to address the need to lower energy costs and maximize system uptime. The drives are engineered with Eaton’s patented Active Energy Control® which monitors the output requirements of the motor while reducing the input power requirements of the VFD. This feature can increase energy savings by up to 10 percent in fan and pump applications compared to standard VFDs, giving the customer even greater energy and ultimately cost savings above other VFDs in the market.
