Inside Notes: Of Things to Come
The year has already started off with a big bang for 2020. This is going to be a year of change for all of us. It’s easy to accept defeat, but I like to think positively – that the issues ahead of us are just growing pains as we go forward. Issues such as:
The Democratic Party came out of the chute trying to impeach President Trump with evidence that a kangaroo court wouldn’t even accept or present. Thankfully justice prevailed on this issue and he was acquitted on all charges. What a waste of time, money and energy.
The stock market is a raging bull. The Dow is knocking at the door of 30. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I thought I was going to have to live out my retirement days in a cardboard box. I have a smile on my face now. If our elected (so called) leaders will help the current administration push forward we have a brighter financial future ahead of us all.
The new housing market is becoming strong again. It’s looking like the millennials are buying homes. With the job market growing and financial growth along with it, there are going to be a lot of HVAC systems that need to be installed. No end in sight as far as I can see as long as we stay the course.
It looks like we are slowing down in the Middle East, if they will all behave and get along with the rest of the world. Pulling 5,400 troops from Afghanistan within 135 days of signing an agreement with the Taliban, this would be the start of what is expected to be the gradual withdrawal of all 14,000 United States troops that could end America’s longest running war.
So what is going to happen next? Your guess as is good as mine, but I think it’s a fight for the soul of our nation this year. It’s socialism vs. freedom. The decision will either hold our republic together or possibly tear it apart. Everyone has their own opinions on the subject, but history shows socialism has never worked and it will be a fight to the end.
I would like to think there is a path where we can all go forward together to prosperity. However I doubt that will ever happen.
Keep the Faith!
