Meachum Passes the Gavel to 2019 HARDI Chairman Brian Peirce
The Heating, Air-conditioning & Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI) Board of Directors saw the next step in its leadership succession take place earlier this month at HARDI Annual Conference in Austin, Texas.
The 2018 Chairman Troy Meachum, President of ACR Supply Co., oversaw an incredibly pivotal year for the HARDI organization, facilitating governance changes which saw his position title on the Board change.
“I am the only HARDI President to have done this one thing – I had the privilege of being fired as President of HARDI. But then re-hired as Chairman,” Meachum joked to the crowd during the closing ceremony.
Brian Peirce, President/CEO of Peirce-Phelps, Inc. based out of the Philadelphia region in Pennsylvania, assumed his role as HARDI Chairman for 2019 shortly thereafter.
“The HARDI Board of Directors doesn’t implement wide, sweeping changes from chairman to chairman,” said Peirce. “Rather, we embody a long-term plan we have carefully put in place, and each Chairman goes on to develop this plan and these goals further. I am deeply honored to carry the mantle that Troy and all those before him have shouldered to get HARDI where it is today, and I look forward to playing my part this next year in growing all the exciting developments the association has to offer to our members and the industry.”
