Mingledorff’s, Inc. (“Mingledorff’s”) is pleased to announce the signing of a non-binding letter of intent to acquire Mechanical Equipment Company, Inc. of Lawrenceville, Georgia (“Mechanical Equipment”). The parties hope to close the transaction in the first quarter of 2021. Customers of both parties should benefit from significant synergies to better service customers, including the expansion of product offerings and the sharing of best practices.

Mechanical Equipment was founded by A. Jack Childress in 1963. Following Jack’s tenure as President, his son, Brud Childress held the leadership position followed by current President Brandon Childress. Currently, Mechanical Equipment operates out of four distribution centers located in Lawrenceville, Braselton, Cumming, and Marietta, Georgia.
