John D. (Danny) Cassity has announced that he will retire next spring from R.E. Michel Company in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He has turned over the branch manager reins to longtime employee Melissa Basye.

Danny has spent the past 8 years at R.E. Michel serving as branch manager. When he retires, he will have been in the HVAC industry for over 40 years. He is proud that several of his employees have been promoted to management positions within the industry, not only for R.E. Michel, but for competitors as well. He looks forward to doing more fishing, traveling, and working out in retirement.

Melissa Basye has been with R.E. Michel for over 3 years recently working as a counterperson prior to her promotion to branch manager. She brings to her new position over 10 years in the HVAC industry with 7 of those years working in the field. As manager, her goal is to increase the customer base for all products, and to provide excellent customer service. Melissa is married and has one child. In her spare time, she loves to fish, play disc golf, and go boating.
