Air Pros USA Teams Up with Miami Dolphins Football UNITES™ to Give Free A/C Units to Three Deserving South Florida Families

November 04, 2024

The Miami Dolphins Football UNITES™ program and Air Pros USA, a leading residential air conditioning services company and an official Air Conditioning partner of the Miami Dolphins, came together to provide new A/C units for three households in need.

The first recipient was Army Sergeant First Class Daniel Matthews from United States Southern Command. Matthews lives with his wife, Jonell, and their two sons Dillon and Solomon in a home with an 18-year-old A/C unit. When they relocated to South Florida in 2022 and purchased their home, they did not realize the unit was allegedly “piecemealed” together with various components to pass inspection. Due to the unit’s age and condition, it needed to be replaced, but the family did not have the resources to do so. The new unit from Air Pros USA is now providing the Matthews family with much needed comfort.

With the help of SunServe, the Miami Dolphins and Air Pros USA also surprised a Pompano Beach family with a new A/C unit. Eliseo Acevedo and his wife, Migdalia, care for their two adult children, Gilbert and Abigail, who were both born with cerebral palsy. Both Gilbert and Abigail are non-verbal, and one uses a wheelchair, requiring constant care and a comfortable living environment.

Adding to the family’s challenges, 66-year-old Eliseo is battling Parkinsons Disease, and his health is steadily declining. Migdalia lives with diabetes and arthritis. She is the primary caretaker and is unable to work outside the homemaking obtaining a new working A/C unit more difficult.

“We are humbled, we seriously are,” said Migdalia Acevedo at the giveaway in September. “We always think that other people deserve things more than we do, and so we are blessed.”

“As the official Air Conditioning partner for the Miami Dolphins, everyone at Air Pros USA is proud to support our ongoing partnership with the Miami Dolphins Football UNITES™ program,” said Anthony Perera, Founder of Air Pros USA. “Initiatives like this not only make a meaningful difference for individual families but also help to build stronger, more connected communities.”

Air Pros USA awarded a third A/C unit to Jocelyn Laborde, a long time Miami Gardens resident and volunteer at the Mavuno Project, a Miami Dolphins Football UNITES™ community partner. The Mavuno Project is a local non-profit organization that focuses its efforts on the power of education to prevent human trafficking.

The 67-year-old has lived in her home for over 30 years and needed a new A/C unit. Laborde is a supporter of The Mavuno Project through volunteerism and fighting for the safety of children.

Representatives from Air Pros USA and the Miami Dolphins showed up on each of the recipients’ doorsteps, surprising them with brand-new units resulting in a heartwarming moments of gratitude.
