Daryl Sholar Named BOAF 2021 Inspector of the Year
Daryl Sholar, Senior Construction Inspector/Plumbing and Mechanical for the Village of Wellington, FL, was presented the 2021 Inspector of the Year Award at the Building Officials Association of Florida (BOAF) Leadership Luncheon on June 9, 2021, at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, FL.
“You are among a group of distinguished award winners representing BOAF and Florida’s building code compliance professionals, and you are a role model to others,” stated BOAF Executive Director Ann Russo as she informed Daryl of his selection for the award.
Daryl has been an active supporter of the HVAC/R industry in Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast, including as a member and serving on the board of directors of the Palm Beach Air Conditioning Contractors Association and as a member and Past President of the Palm Beach Treasure Coast Chapter of Florida Association of Plumbing, Gas &. Mechanical Inspectors.
The BOAF Inspector of the Year Award is presented to a member who consistently demonstrates the qualities of integrity, professionalism and dedication in his or her service to the profession and whose personal standards represent the spirit of public service to the enforcement of codes and standards in the interest of public safety. The candidate will have demonstrated a commitment to increased job knowledge, competent enforcement, and assistance to fellow code officials and the public. The candidate shall be licensed under FS 468 as an Inspector, working in an Inspector position, and a current member in good standing with the Association.
