Peirce-Phelps Holds Annual Dealer Trade Show

April 01, 2019

Peirce-Phelps, Inc, the Pennsylvania HVAC distributor, held its annual dealer meeting and trade show recently at the Valley Forge Convention Center. Carrier and Bryant dealers throughout PA, NJ and DE were invited to hear about the latest innovations in their equipment lines along with changes in the HVAC marketplace. Along with the meetings, nearly one hundred vendors participated in the trade show. A number of HVAC technical schools from the region were also invited to attend. Everyone was energized after the day.

Dealers were treated to a multi-media interactive meeting featuring panel discussions on current topics, marketing, on line reviews, social media, and web site re-targeting. The ‘Key Note” speaker, discussed the importance of Dealerships having a corporate culture. They were briefed on the upcoming FER rating issue and how it will impact the market and their product lines. They were also able to hear testimonials from their fellow Carrier and Bryant dealers that have reached benchmarks in their companies or achieved industry awards. After the meeting, dealers toured the trade show floor. Commercial contractors held a separate meeting to cover updates and issues in their market.

The vendors at the trade show were given an opportunity before the show to review their lines with Peirce-Phelps territory and branch managers. During the trade show, vendors demonstrated their current product offerings and introduced new items in the market. Along with product vendors, finance and marketing companies were available to help dealers generate ideas to build their business.

In addition to the Carrier, Bryant and Payne dealers in attendance, students from several local trade schools were able to spend the day attending lectures and touring the trade show. Of special importance to many of them was the dealer job fair held prior to the trade show. Over two dozen HVAC contractors were on hand at the job fair ready to accept applications from interested students.

The meetings and trade show were a different format from previous years and many of the dealers in attendance agreed that it was as worthwhile as past years. The trade show has been an integral part of Peirce-Phelps’ dealer services for a number of years and has grown to become a “must see” event for dealers throughout the area.
