Rob Mayhew, HVAC Sales Consultant for Tropic Supply, was named the 2020 Palm Beach Air Conditioning Contractors Association (PBACCA) Member of the Year and presented with his SEER Award during the High-E-Fishin-Sea-XXIX tournament on June 12, 2021.

PBACCA President Jim Pickard made the announcement, stating “We normally present this award during our installation banquet in January but due to the pandemic it was cancelled this year. With this being our first major event of 2021 and knowing that Rob would be here since he participates in everything the association does, the board decided this would be an opportune time to recognize him. The SEER Award stands for Service, Enthusiasm, Effort and Reliability and Rob has exhibited each of those qualities since joining the association as a representative of Tropic Supply years ago.”

“Rob was born in Texas, but started his professional career in Tampa, Florida, working in sales for Sherwin Williams,” Jim continued. “Collectively, Rob spent 15 years with Sherwin, although he did dabble in construction and project management for a company specializing in capital improvement in the multi-family renovation industry. Rob was a very welcome addition to the Tropic Supply sales team in 2015. His understanding of customer relationship management and appetite for learning a new industry quickly catapulted him to become one of Tropic’s most successful and endeared salesmen. He is passionate about the HVAC industry, and is always pushing the envelope to find new and better ways to support contractors. He joined the PBACCA board determined to find new and innovative ways to bring value to member contractors. His ability to think out of the box has made him a true asset to the HVAC community.”
