The South Florida Air Conditioning Contractors Association (SFACA) and Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) have partnered to develop a stronger skilled workforce by providing an accelerated apprenticeship education and practical learning classes for the HVAC trade. Orientation for the 2020-2021 year took place on September 9th with an enrollment deadline of September 30th.

Classes are being held Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 to 9 p.m. at the ABC Institute Apprenticeship College, 3720 Coconut Creek Parkway, Lab 1, Coconut Creek, FL 33066.

The 2-year apprenticeship program is State of Florida Accredited and Department of Labor and Florida Department of Education approved. Classes consist of 2,000 hours of annual education with an on-the-job training component required.

For over 40 years ABC Institute has offered construction apprenticeship programs accredited by the Florida Department of Education and Department of Labor. They provide education and practical hands on learning in many different trades, including safety, management, superintendent, foreman, and others.
