Alexandria, VA (April 5, 2023) − The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) announces Tom Jackson of
Jackson Systems & Supply in Indianapolis, IN, as the 2023 Community Leadership Award winner.
Jackson was chosen as this year’s winner because of his commitment not only to the HVACR Industry, but also to his business, community, and family.
The ACCA Community Leadership Award recognizes an ACCA member who has made extraordinary contributions to the betterment of society and their community and was created to honor the memory of Past ACCA Board Chair Skip Snyder. Nominees and recipients of this award should exemplify the following characteristics: Service-oriented, Knowledgeable and Kind, Integrity, and Partnership (SKIP). This award highlights that a person’s success is not only measured by financial accomplishments, but also by the impact that a person has on their community at-large. It is a tribute to the memory of Skip’s remarkable character and his philosophy of life—helping, caring, and sharing with others.
“Congratulations to Tom Jackson on receiving this humanitarian recognition,” said Barton James, ACCA president & CEO. “There are few people who come to mind as quickly as him when I think about all he does to make this world a better place. Between his dedication and service to the Boy Scouts and his service in the U.S. Veteran Reserve Corps 1st Indiana Battalion to his work with the Kiwanis Club and a variety of other local charities, Tom’s spirit of giving is an inspiration. I hope he inspires others to find charitable organizations and programs that they want to support locally or nationally.”
ACCA presented Jackson with the award during the Awards & Welcome Reception on April 2, 2023, part of the ACCA 2023 Conference & Expo in New Orleans, LA.
