2021 Women in HVACR Conference Sets Attendance and Sponsorship Records
The 2021 Women in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (WHVACR) conference broke records for attendance and sponsorship participation this year. The 18th Annual Conference was held October 13 – 15 at the Sirata Beach Resort in St. Petersburg Beach, FL. Over 275 attendees and guests participated in the event, with 50 sponsors and 13 industry partners supporting the WHVACR in making the conference possible.
“The 18th annual Women in HVACR conference was a huge success and provided a unique opportunity to have amazing networking and education opportunities in a casual setting directly on the beach at St. Pete Beach, FL”, stated 2021 WHVACR President Lauren Roberts. “We had a record attendance including many first time attendees, which we were excited about. We were fortunate to have truly amazing speakers to help our attendees be well-prepared for 2022 and beyond and to overcome the waves of change that we are all experiencing as a result of the global pandemic and other upcoming changes in our industry. We want to express our sincere gratitude to our speakers and members for their contributions to this wonderful event.”
“This year’s event was definitely one to remember”, added 2021 WHVACR Vice President Colleen Keyworth. “Our theme this year was “Breaking the Surface – Overcoming the Waves of Change”. WHVACR made a splash with over 275 attendees that were treated to a different kind of conference experience under a 120-foot tent right on St. Petersburg’s Beach. The conference had 5 featured speakers on the main stage and 9 breakout speakers for the event. Content offered included marketing strategies, technical workshops, soft skill presentations and best practices for employee retention. Twenty vendor tabletop displays ringed three sides of the tent, providing opportunities for attendees to learn from some of the service providers and manufacturers that add value to the association. Conference attendees came from across the country representing many sectors of the HVACR industry, including contractors, technicians, sales reps, wholesalers, marketing managers, manufacturers and many more. We are proud that the Women In HVACR conference is one of the most diverse industry networking events available. It was a really good mix of old and new association members and from what we could tell it was split down the middle of past attendees and first timers. We hope to continue this amazing growth in 2022 as well.”
