Pamlico Air, a manufacturer of high-quality air filters, air filtration products and equipment founded 2019 (see story on page 1 of the enclosed HVAC Insider National Edition), has opened a manufacturing plant in Wichita Falls, Texas. Pamlico Air’s leadership team of Founder and CEO Travis Stephenson, President Charlie Kwiatkowski, COO of the High Purity Division Shawn Windley and Director of Sales, Melissa Davidson have over a century of industry-related experience between them.

The Wichita Falls facility joins plants in Wilson, North Carolina and Lake Wales, Florida, as part of the strategic expansion westward in the country. The Texas team is led by Operations Manager Mike Parsons and Manager of Human Resources Kim Parsons.

Mike has been in the air filtration industry for more than 5 years and has 15+ years of experience in various operations and management roles. He has been a critical part of the startup of our Texas facility and operations. Mike will be responsible for over 200 employees as well as manufacturing and production processes, shipping and logistics and all other daily operations.

Mike uses a family-oriented approach with the employees at the plant. He sees each employee as more than a team member and feels responsible for their success on the job and as a person. While the Coronavirus Pandemic has slowed timelines for equipment installation and other activities to get the facility up and running, Mike says that many managers and supervisors have “stepped up to the plate to learn filters” to get the processes going as quickly as possible. “I cannot say enough good things about this group.” When asked about the community and workforce’s outlook on Pamlico Air Mike told us “the community and people in it have been great. They have welcomed us with open arms, as much as Covid-19 has allowed, anyway.”

Kim has been in the air filtration industry for eight years and in the Human Resources field for more than 15 years. Her experience and formal training make her a great asset for selecting employees to build our Texas workforce. She truly knows how to connect with each team member to create the sense of family amongst the employees. Kim believes in the workforce that exists in Wichita Falls. “The community is very excited and supportive of Pamlico Air coming to Wichita Falls,” according to Kim. “Our new hires have shown good work ethics and team building skills.”

When talking with Mike and Kim is it evident that they believe in their employees. The entire Texas team got together and came up with their own motto: “One Dream – One Team” and we truly believe in Team Texas!

Pamlico Air’s Wichita Falls plant is a major asset to the industry due to its strategic location just south of the center of the United States. It is the perfect plant for shipping product quickly and efficiently all over the country. The Texas facility is also positioned for expansion when increased manufacturing capabilities are needed.

Pamlico Air Wichita Falls will manufacture a full ASHRAE product line for residential, commercial and industrial use, along with High Purity products. All products will be sold exclusively by our network of experienced HVAC Manufacturer’s Sales Representatives and Distributors. Our partners provide local, expert Pamlico Air product support and customer service creating a truly personal experience when using our products. Our Representative group serving the Texas area is The Partner Group (TPG) HVAC. Using the expert knowledge of local representative groups allows Pamlico Air to reach the smaller communities in addition to the larger cities and bigger organizations throughout the region.
